"I found Vicky’s materials and guidance exceptionally helpful... and the suggestions have all worked magic. Vicky’s methods are modern, sensible and easy to understand. I cannot recommend her highly enough."
The Dog Coach
For over eleven years, I've run puppy classes, had many puppies to stay for residential training and coached hundreds of new puppy owners individually.
Now, I've taken that experience online to fit in with anyone's schedule.
I want you to be prepared for the challenges and avoid the problems from the start — and to discover that training and having fun with your puppy can (indeed, should) be one and the same thing.
Get the first few weeks of puppy training right and set yourself up for a lifetime of enjoyment with your new best friend. That's why I created Puppy Home School.
Even if you have little or no experience of puppies, with PUPPY HOME SCHOOL you'll learn simple and easy to implement modern training methods.
And don't worry, I designed it so that with only a few minutes a day, you'll quickly have the confidence and skills you need to train your puppy yourself.
Short videos accompanied by step-by-step guides tell you exactly what you need to know, when you need to know it.
So, if you've been feeling a little panicky, and you just want to get it right but you're not sure how ... you're in the right place.
"This course is really easy to use ... funny, light and entertaining. It gives a very true insight into the reality of owning and training a puppy. I highly recommend it."
In PUPPY HOME SCHOOL you'll discover how to PREPARE so you're set up for success and UNDERSTAND how to put it all into PRACTICE
We start with Pre-School Prep where you'll quickly learn how to manage both your puppy and the environment so that you're set up for rapid success.
In a few short videos Training 101 cracks the code on modern, positive training methods, so you'll know the best ways to train your puppy — and the mistakes the avoid!
Daily games and exercises put it all into practice, deepening your relationship and creating a lifelong bond with a dog who loves to play, learn and engage with you.
"Vicky's training methods work and Simba is a very happy puppy who likes to please."
Puppies are impossibly cute (yours in particular!). But they also pee and poo a lot, bite anything that looks like it might be fun or just chewy — including you — and are very demanding of attention.
I'll show you the secret to establishing good habits before your puppy can learn bad ones! You'll discover:
This is where you'll learn how the art and science of training (+ a little bit of magic and lots of love) will help you become the owner your puppy wants you to be.
It's never too soon to start training.
This 14 day program is designed to give you and your puppy the best start.
Watch the videos, follow the step by step printable guides and see your puppy transform before your eyes (I think I mentioned magic earlier!)

Effectively, yes. You have 7 days to change your mind. I want to make buying the course and getting on with training your puppy as easy a decision as possible. (Of course, you'll no longer be able to access Puppy Home School.)
This course is designed for new puppy owners with busy lives (these days, that's most of you!). The lessons focus on the essentials, so you can get on with enjoying your puppy.
Most of the videos are less than 5 minutes.
You can go through them at your own pace and, of course, at a time to suit you.
Every lessons has an audio version, so you can listen on the move, and printable transcripts so if you prefer to read off-line when training, you can do so.
No, not at all.
The games and training exercises have been arranged in an order that I think you and your puppy will find helpful to follow but, of course, you can skip around them if you prefer (unless they suggest otherwise: eg, Walking 1 and Walking 2 are best done in order!).
You will be practising all the new games and exercises with your puppy often over the coming weeks.
Many people like to introduce them daily but as with varying the order, this is very much up to you and your puppy. You'll probably want to begin teaching your puppy all those suggested at some point but you can take your time.
What's important is that you and your puppy enjoy the process!!
No, your puppy won't be fully trained in two weeks — but you will have learnt a lot about how to teach your puppy, your puppy will have discovered the fun of training with you, and you'll be developing a bond and an understanding that will last a lifetime.
I'm a big fan of learning online. I believe it offers so many advantages.
Obviously, it's available at a time and place to suit you. And you can repeat it as many times as you want.
Almost all early puppy training happens at home – so that's where access to training is going to be most helpful.
Good puppy classes certainly have their place but you're only there for 1 hour a week, and they're inevitably very distracting environments. It can be difficult to take information on board whilst managing your own puppy in a roomful of other cute puppies!
Possibly the only really comparable solution would be to have a lot of private training sessions but that is likely to be beyond the budget of many new owners.
Some of you will just prefer to learn on your own (with your puppy)! And, of course, all the family can follow the same training.
